A classy Cabernet-Sauvignon-based claret from the classed 5th growth Château Cantemerle. Produced from mature rootstock on well-drained gravelly soil, fermentation and maceration takes around 30 days, followed by 12 months aging in French oak barrels. Expect layers of cassis, blueberries, mocha, florals and tar. Medium to full bodied, with juicy tannins and a fruity finish. With already some significant bottle age, this is drinking great now, but will also age well for 5+ years.
