A complex mix of fresh and crisp peachy acidity, with a looong creamy finish.
Laurent Perrier is one of Champagne’s most famous houses, founded in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot in the village of Tours-sur-Marne. Their name comes from Alphonse’s successors – Eugene Laurent and his wife Mathilde Perrier. After Eugene’s death, it was Mathilde who ran the show for 40 years, making the winery what it is today. Laurent-Perrier is still owned by her family.
Their house style is known for its finesse and elegance, based around an emphasis on the Chardonnay variety, and this one is no exception. Multiple vintages are used in the blend, and it’s made in the classic méthode champenoise (obviously) with the bottles having a minimum of four years aging in the cellars. La Cuvée is delicate yet complex with crisp notes of citrus fruit and white flowers, and great length on the finish.
