The vineyards of Bodegas Luis Cañas sit on limestone-chalky-clay soils on sunny slopes and terraces, sheltered by the Sierra Cantabria. The vines are old (the youngest being at least 45 years old), and they are tended to organically. The grapes for this wine are fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months aging in a mix of French & American oak. It’s complex, sophisticated, and absolutely massive. Big, bold flavours and aromas of sweet red berries, balsamic and liquorice.
