Montresor is one of Verona’s historic houses, founded by Giacomo Montresor in 1892. The winery has recently modernised – they have a brand-new solar-powered winery, a renewed focus on biodynamic and organic practices, and access to some of the highest quality grapes in the region. The Corvina grapes used for this red were cultivated organically in the Verona region. After harvesting the grapes were destemmed, macerated on the skins, and cool fermented in stainless steel. The result is a fresh, modern style of Italian red with flavours of redcurrants, cherries, florals and orange zest. It’s a great little light red, and another one that does really well chilled!
